PROJECT OVERVIEW

In my final project for DES 116—Visual Communication: Graphics, I designed and branded a music festival merging classical and blues genres. Assigned the combination of classical and blues, I named my festival Blue Overture.

MISSION STATEMENT

Blue Overture’s live performances provide a unique experience by blending the joyous and uplifting aspects of classical music with the wistful and melancholic nature of blues music, resulting in a sense of community and exploration. This fusion is inspired by both Classical and Blues music genres.

In keeping with the minimalistic design of the Blue Overture Logo, the poster features a basic depiction of piano keys that are arranged in an asymmetrical manner. To align with the poster’s simplistic aesthetic, the digital ads experiment with the patterns outlined in the brand guidelines.

I decided to partner with Läderach Swiss chocolate because their brand exudes sophistication and refinement that complemented my logo perfectly.
